Missions
We support Canton Calvary Mission in a variety of ways. Canton Calvary Mission is located in NE Canton, one of the poorest areas in Stark County. Many of the people living in the area are victims of plant closures, employers moving out of the area and the out-sourcing of jobs. Some of the folks have lived in generational poverty, others are finding themselves in a new situation. The Mission seeks to serve these folks in need through its programs. The programs and services offered by Canton Calvary Mission include a Food Pantry, Hot Meals twice a week, free haircuts, tutoring, a children's art program and much more.
Mt. Tabor supports missionary Sue Givens and the New Horizon School of Paraguay located in Lambare, Paraguay.
FOOD PANTRY
Items collected in our hallway facing the office are donated to our local community food pantry for those in need.
PRAYER BEAD MINISTRY
The purchase of these beads go towards mission projects in the church.
CARE & VISITATION
Mt. Tabor offers pastoral care to those in need. If you or a loved one is shut-in, disabled, or hospitalized.
PRAYER & HEALING
Prayer requests are lifted up on a weekly basis to our congregation. Mt. Tabor believes in the power of prayer, and God's capability to heal those in need. A healing service is offered from time to time.
